Guided classic scrambles
Fully guided classic scrambles and big mountain days in the Lake District.
We'll discuss your objectives and prior experience, and create a bespoke day for you.
Some examples of classic scrambles:
- Halls Fell Ridge and Sharp Edge, Blencathra (grade 1)
- Cam Crag Ridge, Langstrath (grade 2)
- Pinnacle Ridge, St Sunday Crag (grade 3)
- Napes, Great Gable (Grade 3 - Diff)
1 - 3 people for Grade 1 - 2 scrambles
1 - 2 people for Grade 3 and upwards
Independent scrambling skills
Scrambling - that grey area in between hill walking and rock climbing, with arguably more room for errors and misjudgement, and often on consequential and loose ground
Learn the rope work skills, route reading, problem solving and mountain knowledge needed to move towards independent scrambling and big mountain journeys.
1 - 2 people maximum.
A one day booking will give you an introduction to these skills, 2 -3 days booked will enable a more thorough progression, especially if you come with no prior rock climbing knowledge
