Womens beginner indoor climbing

Course or workshop description

These sessions are heavily funded by The Outdoor Partnership, to help more women access sport and develop their skills. We will give first offers to those living in West Cumbria, and then open up to people living elsewhere. When? The sessions will run on a Monday evening, for 4 weeks starting on 3rd March, finishing on 24th March. The sessions will run from 6pm - 8pm, and we will meet at 6pm upstairs in the cafe area at Kong climbing wall in Keswick. Who can come? Any women or non-binary people aged 18+. Ability? This beginners course is suitable for anyone who is completely new to indoor climbing, hasn't climbed for a long time, or has only done a few sessions and isn't registered to climb independently at climbing walls. Cost? The 4 week course costs just £30 total and includes instruction, kit hire, and climbing wall entry. There will be a maximum group size of 4. Instructors and kit: The sessions will be taught by fully qualified and insured instructor Juliet Fullwood, working on behalf of Esther Foster and The Outdoor Partnership. Harnesses, belay devices and rock shoes will be provided, or you can bring your own if you have them. Am I fit enough or strong enough?!! There is something for everyone and you don't have to have much upper body strength to start climbing! There will be no pressure or expectations, just come and have a go.
