Rock Skills Introduction

Course or workshop description

This is a mixed course for those who want to start climbing outdoors, learn the fundamentals of trad climbing in a group environment or just gain a refresher. There will be a maximum group size of 6, and the days will take place at a single pitch venue. These courses are geared towards adults, although young people aged 14 or over are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian. Content generally includes: Top tips for climbing on rock Gear placements and trad rope systems Choosing routes and using outdoor venues Belaying from below and above Safe trad skills You will need to: - have some prior experience of climbing, even if its just a bit indoors - bring your own harness, helmet and rock shoes (I have some available for hire) - bring suitable outdoor clothing for the weather Location: Borrowdale (meet in Keswick to car share) Timings: 09.30am - 4pm

To cancel your booking, please refer to my Terms and Conditions page to see dates for refunds. If possible, I will always try to support you rescheduling on to another course, but will only be able to refund last minute cancellations if someone else is able to take your place.
