Kendal Wall Workshop - Lead Falling!

Course or workshop description

A mixed, adult coaching workshop at Kendal Wall, Cumbria. This session will be suitable for indoor or outdoor climbers, whether you have been climbing for 1 year or 20+ years! Any climbing ability is welcome, but you must be able to competently lead climb and lead belay, and register as an independent climber at Kendal Wall. Timings: 10.30 am - 3.30pm Cost: £50 per session (wall entry not included) Group size: 6 max You will need: rock shoes, harness, belay device Prior experience: you need to be an independent lead climber, and climb fairly regularly to get the most out of this workshop If falling on lead is something you never do, feel really anxious about, holds you back in your climbing, or something you would like to practise, then this workshop is for you. We'll look at the best ways to practise falling on lead, and understand how to manage fear while climbing. Forget the old school "just take a whipper from the top of the wall and you'll be cured" method....... we'll reinforce being relaxed, practise in a way that makes you feel more confident rather than more scared, and help feel more free and happier in your climbing. We'll also look at how to give soft and safe catches, and get you super savvy at belaying different weights and looking after climbing partners.
