Intro Outdoor Trad Climbing

This is a course for any adults who are new to climbing trad outdoors or just want to gain a refresher. There will be a maximum group size of 6, and the day will take place in Borrowdale (we will meet in Keswick to liftshare) Content varies depending on the group, but often includes: Top tips for climbing on rock! Belaying at the top and bottom of the crag Ropework skills and/or gear placement Choosing routes and using outdoor venues Abseiling Using outdoor climbing equipment You will need to: - bring suitable outdoor clothing for the weather (including waterproofs just in case!) - Harnesses, helmets and rock shoes can be provided, but bring your own if you have them Prior experience needed: You will need to be able to tie in and belay. It doesnt matter what grade you climb Location: Borrowdale Timings: 9.30am - 4pm
