BMC Womens Ready to Rock
Sunday 23rd June. 1 day workshop on outdoor trad climbing
Course or workshop description
This is a course for women or non-binary individuals who want to start climbing outdoors, learn fundamental safety skills for trad climbing in a group environment or just gain a refresher. There will be a maximum group size of 6, and the days will take place at a single pitch venue. These courses are geared towards adults, although young people aged 14 or over are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian. Content generally includes: Top tips for climbing on rock and lots of climbing! Gear placements and trad rope systems Choosing routes and using outdoor venues Belaying from below and above Safe trad skills You will need to: - have some prior experience of climbing, even if its just a bit indoors - bring your own harness, helmet and rock shoes (I have some available for hire) - bring suitable outdoor clothing for the weather Location: Headend Quarry (north lakes, nr Ireby) Timings: 09.45am - 4pm NB. You can view all the BMC Ready to Rock courses and locations on the BMC website, and book through that site too. I have allowed bookings through my website as well just to make things easier.

To cancel your booking, please refer to my Terms and Conditions page to see dates for refunds. If possible, I will always try to support you rescheduling on to another course, but will only be able to refund last minute cancellations if someone else is able to take your place.
